Who we are
We are a state-funded cultural institute that promotes German-Czech cultural exchange. We focus on the cultural history of the Czech lands, in particular German literature and its interaction with Czech literature. We host readings by authors, meetings, salon evenings, academic lectures and colloquia. We also organise cultural historical exhibitions and publish a yearbook as well as catalogues and the European Cultural Journal “Sudetenland”. Adalbert Stifter, our constant inspiration, lives on as the source and spirit of our activities.
